Wedding Photography at Clock Barn
Another local venue to me and a popular one for those looking for rustic charm and character. I have had the pleasure of capturing love stories here across all four seasons in the year and it does not disappoint! Their newly renovated 12 bedroom guest accommodation also makes it a perfect countryside haven for those wanting to celebrate with their nearest and dearest by their side throughout their stay.
Getting Ready at The Stables
Sometimes morning prep can be one of the trickier parts of capturing weddings depending on the size and layout of the room. At Clock Barn, The Stables is separated out into two sections. The main space is muti-functional and has the dressing tables and sofas for the primary hair & make-up action. The side room has a large mirror and is perfect for me to start capturing your details in from the dress, shoes, jewellery and flowers. It means I stay out of the way and can get creative in a clear room with no mess - bright orange Sainsbury's bags - I'm looking at you!
Group Shot Location Ideas
Clock Barn offers a wide variety of locations for your group/family shots. As a general rule, I try to find a well lit spot with easy access for your family photos to ensure everyone is kept happy, hydrated and dry! This means I avoid grass in the winter and keep things as close as possible to the cocktail party so your guests don't have too far to walk before they return to the fun. If you are conscious about the weather (like most of us are!), it's always amazing to know that you have a fantastic indoor option for your family photos if going outside simply isn't an option for you. The snug features a lovely, large fireplace for a roomy and beautiful backdrop should you need it!
Couple Portraits In Every Season
A venue that looks equally as stunning in the Autumn as it did in Summer! Two different vibes, equally as gorgeous! There are so many outdoor spaces to capture your couple portraits in, I like to do a circular loop around the barn during golden hour whilst most of your guests are inside to get a variety of angles, colours and lighting.
Lighting Recommendation
Clock barn is another venue that offers beautiful lighting options. My absolute favourite are the fairy lights that can be put up in both sides of the barn for an interesting ceremony & wedding breakfast background as well as epic dancefloor shots. An absolute must if you want to add something special to a winter day for example.
