Wedding Photography at Wasing Park

One of my all time favourites, Wasing Park is nestled in the Berkshire countryside (just 15 minutes from my home!) and feels like it ticks every box, no wonder it is one of the top venues in the area! You can choose from their garden room, outdoor space or church to get married in and all 3 are simply beautiful for a modern, timeless vibe.

Wedding Timeline Recommendation

I usually recommend starting at least 30 mins earlier than I usually would when shooting at Wasing Park as prep usually starts at Kitt's Cottage which is a short drive away from the main venue. Although it is worth noting that most of your main wedding morning events do happen from the moment you enter the Honeymoon Suite so it is not essential for me to do so!

Scheduling Tip

The Honeymoon Suite really is one of the showstopping spaces. I love capturing details, make-up finishing touches and  bridal/dad reveals in this room. As always, don't underestimate how long it will take for you to get from your pyjamas to fully dressed and ready to say I do. You usually only get access of this room from 12pm so a 1.30pm earliest ceremony start time usually works best at Wasing.

Group Shot Location Ideas

One of the best bits about Wasing Park is it's versatility. I have captured group shots in multiple different locations depending on  guest accessibility, time of year, weather conditions on the day and personal preference. From she shade of the trees to the statement of the front steps of the castle barn, there are so many backdrops to choose from!

Portrait Location Ideas

One of the elements I value the most in wedding venues is their greenery and outside spaces. You can really tell when there is a lot of effort put into the landscaping and it shows up beautifully in the photos. Some of my favourite spots at Wasing include the lavender and grasses round the front of the Castle Barn as well as the extensive mature trees and green spaces around the whole venue. Even the long driveway looks perfect for those grand couple portraits in wetter winter conditions and particularly golden hour.

Dancefloor Photography Inspiration

And finally, the party! The fairylight canopy over the dancefloor creates a beautiful atmosphere for the evening and allows us to get creative with flowing light effects that add zest and fun the the evening shots!
